A New Way to Do Business

Each time you purchase a SAMBAZON product, you can feel good knowing you are helping the Amazon and its people while nourishing your own body.

We exist to provide a win-win solution that helps protect the biodiversity of the Amazon Rainforest and support your health and wellness. We care for the people we work with, the planet we live on, and the prosperity of everyone involved. It’s a sustainable business philosophy called the Triple Bottom Line.

TRIPLE RESULT LINE

PEOPLE

Fair Trade is more than just a certification -- it allows us to make a difference in the lives of thousands of Açaí family farmers.

For nearly two decades, SAMBAZON has re-invested a portion of our annual Açaí purchases back into the grower communities to support social needs through our Fair Trade Fund.

In partnership with EcoCert and through the Fair for Life certification, SAMBAZON has been able to support education by renovating and building new schools.

With your support, we’ve also helped build libraries, sports centers, and renovate healthcare centers, helping to improve literacy and access to healthcare.

PLANET

SAMBAZON is leading the charge when it comes to protecting the Amazon's incredible biodiversity. On average, certified managed forests harbor 50% more tree species, and the use of certified sustainable agroforestry can help reduce the exploitation of Amazonian forests (Damasco et al. 2022)

Our Açaí is Certified Organic-- just the way nature intended it. Our efforts to help protect the rainforest’s biodiversity and endangered species prove that the planet is always top of mind in our Açaí production chain.

PROSPERITY

Each time you purchase SAMBAZON Açaí, you are creating a positive economic chain reaction. Just as importantly, you're playing a role in the protection of the biodiversity of the Amazon region. We call this conscious consumerism -- or voting with your dollars -- because each of us has the power to make positive change and create a more prosperous future. Our documentary Seeding Change is about "triple bottom line" businesses that consider their companies' social, environmental, and financial impacts and address some of today’s most challenging issues, empowering viewers to be part of the solution.

What is the SAMBAZON logo?

The SAMBAZON logo was created in 2000 working with a local graffiti artist duo from Costa Mesa, CA.  The concept was a representation of an Amazon Warrior as the protector of the Amazon Rainforest, its biodiversity and its treasures.

We believe that each of us has a warrior spirit inside of us, guiding us to fight for truth and right, and to protect what is sacred. The original logo has served us well to date, but we believe it’s time to evolve as SAMBAZON has grown from a warrior spirit to a kindred spirit of health, love and healing for all.

Our new SAMBAZON icon focuses on the superfood, Açaí, the hero from which we formed our Company over 20 years ago. The sacred geometry radiating from the Açai illustrates the powerful transformational energy that Açaí can bring to your body, spirit and the Amazon Rainforest.

We invite you to join SAMBAZON and experience the Delicious Powers of Açaí ™

“There is no one solution to save the Amazon Rainforest. A wide variety of sustainable and effective initiatives are needed to keep the forest alive and this can only be achieved if economic alternatives and solutions to destructive logging can be found.

The tasty dark violet wine of Açaí is the most important non timber forest product (NTFP) in terms of money from the river of the Amazon.”
